Documentary-Style Video


This documentary-style video came about when the VFW contacted us to feature real veterans in an ongoing campaign. The VFW wanted to put the focus on its diverse membership, because without membership, it lacks funds to provide the services vets need. We chose documentary-style video as the approach because real people are more authentic and believable as brand ambassadors. Profling a woman veteran showcases the diversity that is embodied in the modern VFW. We shot over two days in two states in order to show the breadth of the interviewee's life and service. Scenic Road made the creative decision to have Sally talk directly to camera because it increases connection with the viewer.
